It was a tough decision to make, we must say.

Below are the results from your votes – each category winner will receive a LEON mug ... so you can enjoy a nice cuppa with your next baking achievements.

Thanks again for all your votes.

molasses and dried fruits,  a very old family recipe that has been passed on to her
by her grandmother

CAKES THAT LOOK LIKE SOMETHING ELSE

Matti ... with her red velvet cake in the shape of a heart.
(In case you were wondering the costume is a zombie Florence Nightingale)

Stephanie ... with her technicoloured, multi-layered, double-frosted cake
(made for a friend’s birthday)

CAKES MADE WONDERFULL WITH CHOCOLATE

CAKES WITH FRESH FRUIT (IN OR OUT, SOMETIMES SHAKEN ALL ABOUT)

Jane ... with her birthday cake, made by her ever-loving sister.. blackberry and sour
cream sponge, lots of whipped cream, jam and almonds in the centre AND topped
with a meringue crown.

AMBITIOUSLY TALL CAKES

Katy ... with a cake she made for her best friend’s wedding in May.

MOST DETERMINED TO WIN MENTION

A mention goes out to Dave who tried ever so hard to get his kids guillotine cake at the
top of the ranks, pulling all the cyber strings he could think of.
