Summer - whisper it - is our favourite season. The sun stays out until late, late in the evening, as do many of us; cucumber, apple & mint get their day in the Pimm’s-tinged sun; and we all have a good go at perfecting that lobster tan. At Leon, we have put summer’s abundance of produce to use in our new dishes. In hope of long, balmy summer days, there is a fourth salad for you: a classic avocado & bacon salad with a Leon twist. The bacon is from outdoor-reared Devon pigs, the eggs are free-range, the leaves are frisee and baby spinach, and it comes with a fresh pea, mint & yoghurt topper. For when it’s really hot, try our own-made iced tea. It’s a mix of English Breakfast tea and Leon-made Lemonade – which our friends over the Atlantic call an ‘Arnold Palmer’. Apparently Arnie, a famous golfer, loved it. Which leads onto all sorts of ‘iced tee’ jokes we’re not going to get into. And when it’s a little cooler (or you feel the need for a good hearty lunch to get you through the day), the Thai Green Veg Curry will keep you going strong. Especially if you top up with a pot of Life by Chocolate Mousse. See you in the park. P.S.
